Gingerbread Christmas Ornament brown 2 pcs. - Home

A tasteful Christmas classic in handcrafted ceramics, shaped by tradition. Kähler Gingerbread is a series of modern gingerbread houses and ornaments from Kähler, where charming aesthetics and handmade design traditions meet the warm glow of tealights and classic Christmas traditions, creating both style and cosiness. Baking is an essential part of Christmas, and with its lifelike appearance, it’s easy to imagine that Kähler has just taken a freshly fired gingerbread house out of the ceramic kiln. You can almost smell the gingerbread, but don’t be fooled – the entire Gingerbread series is made of stoneware, and the white glaze is ceramic. The small Kähler Gingerbread Christmas ornaments measure 5 cm in height and are decorated with delicate patterns featuring the sweetest little hearts and snowy rooftops, just like a traditional gingerbread house. Let them adorn branches, windows, or your Christmas tree and enjoy them throughout December alongside the rest of the series. At the top of the Gingerbread ornaments, two small holes allow for elegant ribbons in Kähler’s signature green to be threaded through. The embossed HAK initials add a tactile and lively detail, embracing Kähler’s heritage while creating a beautiful contrast to the warm brown stoneware. The Gingerbread ornaments are sold in pairs and are meant to be treasured for generations, brought out year after year as a charming and cosy addition to the family’s Christmas decorations. Mette Bache and Barbara Bendix Becker are the designers behind Kähler Gingerbread. Their design philosophy balances structure with authenticity. The geometric surfaces of the tealight houses are softened by intricate decorations and the many hand-cut windows and doors, lending them a and inviting expression. Similarly, the Christmas ornaments are simple and graphic, yet full of life and authenticity thanks to their detailed decorations and handcrafted feel.
