The kettle should always be placed on a stable and level surface such as a kitchen counter. Never place kettle on or near hotplates, open flames or similar. Hold the kettle by the handle and do not touch the hot surfaces. Never let the cord hang freely from the edge of a countertop or place it on a hot surface. The kettle and power cord must be placed at a safe distance from stoves and other heat sources.
