Polar bears, also called ice bears, belong to the bear family. They inhabit the northern polar regions and are closely related to the brown bear. Along with Kamchatka bears and Kodiak bears, polar bears are considered the largest land-dwelling carnivores on Earth. Young polar bears weigh 400 to 900 grams at birth - as much as one to two packages of flour - and are blind and deaf. They reach a weight of 10 to 15 kilograms in just the first two months of life. For the first two and a half years or so, young polar bears stay with their mothers and learn hunting behavior from them; after that, they have to manage on their own. Wiltopia invites children to discover exciting regions of our world which are worth protecting and also their numerous animal inhabitants. Moreover it combines play and learning in a unique way. The PLAYMOBIL set includes a young polar bear, a snowball and an animal knowledge card. The polar bear figure can tilt its head up and down and move its four legs individually.
