Bento is the word for a Japanese lunchbox, which traditionally holds rice, meat or fish as well as a side dish of prepared vegetables. The food is stored in boxes with small and large dividers and various removable containers. They can be made of cheap disposable cardboard or be elaborate lacquered boxes.
Mepal’s Take-a-break bento lunchboxes are made of ABS plastic – an impact-resistant and sturdy material that is dishwasher-safe, but not microwave- or freezer-safe.
The lunchbox comes in a variety of smart colours and sizes to suit all tastes and appetites. So take a break when you’re on the go and enjoy your lunch, snack or treats. And have a look at the Take-A-Break icepack, which keeps your lunch even more tasty and fresh.
