The Kähler Colore bowl in Saffron Yellow has the same sensuous and tactile design as the rest of the series and is made of stoneware. The bowl is hand-turned and, with its 19-cm diameter, is the optimal size for a small dinner table with just a few guests, and complements the rest of the Colore series for larger dinner parties. The yellow colour exudes happiness and sensuality and pays tribute to the intense taste and aroma of exclusive spices such as saffron. All pieces from the series are decorated with a hand-painted brush stroke along the edge, which visually frames the shapes and reveals there is a person behind them. Inspired by traditional craftsmanship techniques, the shiny uranium yellow glaze used for the bowl creates a beautiful, vibrant and varying yellow-orange effect typical of many of Kähler’s 1930s tableware pieces. Colore has been given a glaze with similar qualities, creating a vibrant surface that elegantly accentuates the sensuous details and shapes of this tableware. The entire Colore tableware is dishwasher, microwave and freezer safe for everyday use.
